{"id":19422,"date":"2026-02-26T10:15:40","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T08:15:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iictelaviv.esteri.it\/news\/dall_istituto\/2026\/02\/premi-e-contributi-per-la-traduzione-del-maeci-edizione-2026\/"},"modified":"2026-04-07T16:25:39","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T13:25:39","slug":"premi-e-contributi-per-la-traduzione-del-maeci-edizione-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iictelaviv.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_istituto\/2026\/02\/premi-e-contributi-per-la-traduzione-del-maeci-edizione-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for grants and prizes for the distribution of Italian books through translation | 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The <strong>Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation<\/strong> promotes the circulation of Italian literary, scientific, and cinematographic works abroad through a <a href=\"https:\/\/iictelaviv.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Bando-in-inglese.pdf\">call for applications <\/a>offering prizes and grants for the translation of literary and scientific works, and for the production, dubbing, or subtitling of short films, feature films, and television series in foreign languages.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Interested parties may submit their applications, complete with all documents listed in the call, to the Italian Cultural Institute of Tel Aviv by e-mail at: <a class=\"underline underline underline-offset-2 decoration-1 decoration-current\/40 hover:decoration-current focus:decoration-current\" href=\"mailto:iictelaviv@esteri.it\">iictelaviv@esteri.it<\/a> by <strong>March 31, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Applications must be submitted using exclusively the <a href=\"https:\/\/iictelaviv.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Modulo-di-domanda.docx\">designated form<\/a>, available in Italian, English, or Spanish.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>Applications for GRANTS may be submitted for<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">a) the promotion of Italian books abroad through the translation and publication of Italian literary and scientific works, including in digital format (e-book), whose publication is scheduled no earlier than <strong>July 1, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">b) production, dubbing, or subtitling of short films, feature films, and television series intended for mass media, already completed to be released\u00a0no<strong> earlier than July 1, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Please note that, for an application to be admissible, the requested grant must be less than the total cost of the project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications for PRIZES may be submitted for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a) Italian literary and scientific works, including in digital format (e-book), that have already been translated and published <strong>no earlier than January 1, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>b) production, dubbing, or subtitling of short films, feature films, and television series intended for mass media, already completed <strong>no earlier than January 1, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Please consult the attached call for further details.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>The following may apply for the grants and prizes referred to in Art. 2 of the Call:<\/strong><br \/>\nPublishers, translators, production\/distribution\/dubbing\/subtitling companies, cultural institutions, agents, and literary agencies may apply for two types of incentive: grants and prizes for translation into a foreign language;
