The renowned Italian saxophonist Rino Cirinnà gives a new voice to the timeless compositions of the Beatles’ White Album, blending tradition and innovation, melodic elegance and extraordinary virtuosity. Together with an ensemble of outstanding musicians, he creates a captivating musical journey that offers a fresh perspective on these timeless masterpieces, revealing their full expressive richness.
The White Album is the name by which the Beatles’ ninth studio album, a double album released in 1968 under the simple title The Beatles, is universally known. The iconic completely white cover, devoid of images and text except for the band’s name embossed on the surface, represented a deliberately minimalist choice, in stark contrast to the colourful psychedelic covers of the band’s previous albums. With its thirty tracks, the White Album explores an extraordinary variety of styles: rock, folk, blues, acoustic ballads, avant-garde music, and even early hints of heavy metal. Among its most celebrated songs are While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Blackbird, Back in the U.S.S.R., Honey Pie, Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, Helter Skelter, Dear Prudence and Revolution 1.
