ECHOES OF WORK ACROSS TIME”

How has the concept of work been transformed in an age of digitalization and post-industrial economies? Does work still serve as a source of meaning, identity, and collective memory? The exhibition presents a constellation of contemporary works: photography, sculpture, video, and painting by Italian and Israeli artists. The works on display portray figures and archetypes that anchor national myths and everyday life: kibbutzim workers, grape harvesters, factory workers and office employees, cheesemakers, farmers, doctors, soldiers, and software engineers, creating a dialogue between Italian artisanal and industrial tradition and Israeli technological innovation.
The dialogue between Italian artisanal tradition and Israeli technological agility creates an ideal visual bridge between factory workers and software engineers, highlighting the continuities and ruptures in contemporary narratives of work.
“ART OR LABOR – Echoes of work” thus becomes the fundamental question: is work only production or can it also be creation, expression, a form of art? The works on display invite us to grasp the echo of work as a universal gesture, capable of generating identity, memory, and perhaps even beauty.
We invite you to the opening of the exhibition on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
