Homage to Roberto Rossellini
Jerusalem Cinematheque, 11 Hebron Road
As part of the 2026 edition of the Jerusalem Film Festival, the Italian Cultural Institute of Tel Aviv presents a tribute dedicated to Roberto Rossellini (1906–1977), a central figure of twentieth-century Italian cinema and one of the foremost protagonists of the Neorealist movement.
The tribute features a selection of four representative works from the director’s artistic career, as well as the screening of the documentary Roberto Rossellini: Living Without a Script (2025), directed by Ilaria de Laurentiis, Raffaele Brunetti, and Andrea Paolo Massara, winner of the 2026 David di Donatello Award for Best Documentary.
Screenings will be presented in the original language with Hebrew and English subtitles.
“Germany Year Zero” will be screened with Hebrew and Arabic subtitles.
