premio flevia

As part of the 53rd edition of the International Flaiano Awards, Literature section, the XXV International Flaiano Award for Italian Studies “Luca Attanasio” is being held in 2026.

The International Flaiano Award for Italian Studies, established in 2002 and named in 2021 after Ambassador Luca Attanasio, reaches its 25th edition, with the confirmation of the “Under-35 Youth Section” as well. Promoted and organized as part of the International Flaiano Awards by the Ennio Flaiano Cultural Association and the Edoardo Tiboni Foundation, the award has progressively established itself as an event of major importance for showcasing works of Italian studies.

Since its first edition, the Award has enjoyed the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, also benefiting from the cooperation of the Network of Italian Cultural Institutes both in promoting the initiative and in identifying the most deserving works. The Award Jury, made up of experts in the field, will examine the works submitted by the Directors of the Italian Cultural Institutes, who may each put forward up to three works published between July 28, 2025 and August 31, 2026 in their respective country.

Candidates residing in Israel may submit their application by sending an email to iictelaviv@esteri.it by September 4, 2026, with the following attachments:
– a brief biography of the author;
– a presentation sheet of the proposed work, written in Italian;
– a copy of the book in PDF format (or a digital copy of the work, for works in other formats).

Winners will be invited to attend the award ceremony to be held on October 26, 2026, in Pescara, at the conclusion of the 26th edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World (SLIM).
