החל מהאפיזודה האחרונה של השחתת אבני הנגף בטרסטברה ברומא, אדקיארה מספרת על הזיכרון והקשר בינו לבין ההיסטוריה, דרך סיפור מוזיאלי בינלאומי שלא נראה קודם,ושנקודת המוצא שלו הוא הפרויקט הנרחב של אבני הנגף.
החל מהההנחה שהמונח "בסימן חסר" מתייחס לחוסר "סטטיות, רצינות, התמדה, היפוטרופיה ממדית, סימטריה, רטוריקה, גדולה של חומרים, רהיטות, הפקעת רגשות," החלה זאבי את חקירתה, במטרה לאפשר לכולנו לעקוב אחר מסלול שבילי הזיכרון המונטומנטלי והאדריכלות "היהודית" של הזיכרון.

Curator of the Arteinmemoria biennial at the Synagogue in Ostia Antica and the Stolpersteine project in Italy. President of the Bruno Zevi Foundation and the Arte in memoria Association. She writes for Pagine Ebraiche. In 2018 in 2018 she received the honour "Cavalierato dell'Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Federale di Germania".
She is a member of the CDEC Scientific Committee and advisor at the Rome American Academy.
After having collaborated since 1987 with the daily Corriere della Sera, she writes for Pagine Ebraiche, the montly of the Union of the Italian Jewish Communities.
